What to expect from Rachel
Having a genuine interest in people is what makes my work with my clients so enjoyable to me. I enjoy utilizing a combination of research-driven therapeutic approaches, humor and my own experiences as well as my faith & worldview to connect and walk with clients through their process of change and healing. I approach therapy as a guide, coming alongside you and your spouse/family, providing you with the tools you need in order to transform your current trajectory to a healthier one. While I tend to have a laid-back, good natured, nonjudgmental attitude, I will be very straightforward with you as well as challenge you in a very professional manner.
What to expect about the course of therapy
Because clients often report experiencing noteworthy changes by sessions 4-6, once the initial intake process is complete, I encourage clients to strongly consider making an initial commitment to working intensely for 4-6 subsequent sessions. If at the end of that timeframe we agree there is more work to be done, clients are welcome to schedule more sessions. Clients are never under any obligation to commit to more than one session at a time but for those who prefer to pay up front for 4+ sessions, I offer a 10% discount.
